Athena’s valves are the perfect replacement to the OEM onesas they are made from the same materials and maintain the same characteristics and tolerances.The production process and techniques and the high quality standards we follow, allow us to obtainreliable and resistant valves, perfect on extremely performing racing engines too. The installationdoes not require to modify the original timing drive components.• Titanium valves: they’re forged in a premium, heat resistant Ti 6-2-4-2 alloy and they are alsotreated to reach an optimum combination between hardness and toughness and ensure the bestreliability. The Chromium Nitride coating guarantees the durability and the resistance of thevalve itself and of all the engine parts connected to it, while the final Isotropic polishing reducesroughness and friction to the minimum.• Steel valves: these valves are made of selected stainless steel specially developed to be used oninternal combustion engines and ready to be coated with Chromiun Nitride, which allows to reducefatigue failures caused by alternative forces. At extremely high temperature conditions as in theexhaust area, a Nickel alloy is used to ensure the heat resistance, even with gas temperatures upto 800°C. Finally, the chromium plating of the valve stems improves its resistance and quality,making them suitable for high quality applications.
